Hooray for Honeycomb Kit Facebook Live

Every month Stampin' Up! launches two new kits. And one of the April kits caught my eye immediately: Hooray for Honeycomb is a bright, happy and interactive card kit. It includes everything you need to make 9 cards (3 each of 3 different designs). Each card has a fun honeycomb element making these cards perfect for children's birthdays.

I quickly ordered it and decided to do a Facebook Live this morning. You can watch the replay now on my Facebook Page Get Stamping with Sonja. Just click on the image above. I made one of each card and also showed a selection of items from the new catalogue aimed at making card making fun, quick and simple. If you know me than you know that bright colours are my favourite, particularly hot pinks, bright purples and greens. So when the Flowery Zinnia Suite was released as an online exclusive I got very excited and I knew this had be a workshop. Perfectly timed for the upcoming summer months.

Time to say goodbye.....

...to some of my favourite products from the 2023-2024 Annual Catalogue and the 2024 Spring Mini Catalogue.

Each year we get a new Annual Catalogue in May and although some of the products will carry over into the new catalogue, others will not. Those that are not carried over are on Sale, some reduced by 60%! So now is the time to grab yourself a bargain. Because items will sell out quickly and I don't want you to be disappointed you need to make sure you order now through my online store.

Anyone who orders £20 worth of product (excluding shipping) from me can attend the May 11th Zinnia Workshop for FREE. Anyone ordering £50 or more will get a gift as well.

You can order anything you want, it doesn't have to be a retiring item, there have been some great new kits released and it's always worth checking the Clearance Rack.

Now some products that are not retiring are still on sale, this is usually because they were sold as a bundle or suite. The first year of a coordinating stamp + die/punch set they offer a 10% discount. So these sets won't retire but the discount will so it's still worth getting these now to get the best deal.

January Stamping News

Hello everyone,

What a lovely start of the year we had at our first workshop of 2024: Several ladies came to make a desk calendar with Post-It pad. We used the Crafting with me Stamp set and matching dies. It's made esspecially for crafters with images of tools for all kinds of creative endeavours: knitting, embroidery, painting and of course papercrafts. One of the dies cuts a paper trimmer including the moving blade, it's really fun to use.

Next time we're doing something new: Let's Kit Together, on the 17th of February from 13.00 - 15.30. For this workshop you can all pick your own kit(s) from my webshop and then we get together to put them together. I'll be on hand with support, hot drinks and refreshements. There are plenty to choose from at different price points.

The majority of the kits are cardmaking kits and there are two different types:
Assembly only or stamping kits:
The Assembly-only kits have all the ingredients to put together the cards: envelopes, card bases, embellishments, ribbon/twine, adhesive and pre-printed sentiments. All you need is a pair of scissors to cut the twine/ribbon. These kits are a great choice for beginners or to use when you're crafting with young children. *
The stamping kits also include a stamp set, ink cube and stamp block. They're great if you're busy and like to have your design done for you, or you are a beginner stamper. It's great for crafting with friends or bringing with you to a craft group as everything fits into a small box. You just need to bring some scissors and you're good. These kits are also good if you're just starting to build up your craft equipment as it includes re-usable stamps, a stamp block and small (re-fillable) ink cube.

I love both types and kits and have several of both kinds. There are some other craft kits as well:
A Memory Journal with stickers, stamps and more to document a trip or event.
A paper flower wreath to hang up somewhere
A Memo Board with clips and fun pockets. There are 2 new kits added every month so have a look at the kits page to see which one takes your fancy:-) The cost for the workshop is £5 + the cost of your chosen kit. If you order more than one kit you don't need to pay the £5.


To ensure that I have all the kits before the 17th of February you will need to let me know which kit you want by January 31st. Remember that kits also count towards the £45 spend for Sale-A-Bration so you might want to add something extra to make it to £45 and then let me know which FREE item you'd like from the SAB options. You need to order those at the same time, you cannot keep it as credit.

January's Workshop: Desktop Calendar and Post-It note holder

 

Time for a clean slate and starting the year off right! On January 13th we'll be making this desk calendar with Post-It Notes. Isn't it just the cutest? It's on my desk and I can't stop staring at it. And I can't be the only crafter who loves Stationary just as much as crafting supplies so this is the perfect combo!

I've used paper from the Delightfully Eclectic Paper Pack. It's a huge pack of 48 double sided sheets in 12 completely different designs. To match the pack of Soulful Post-It Note blocks I chose this flower pattern and used the Fresh Freesia Cardstock to match and some Misty Moonlight and Crushed Curry for contrast.
