I made a quick video while I opened my Stampin' Up! Starter Kit. The Starter Kit is what you purchase to become a demonstrator. In the UK it costs £99 and you get £130 worth of product of your choice. You also get lots of Business Supplies: catalogues, flyers and order forms. And during Sale-A-Bration you also get the Making Plans Planner, Stamp Set and 3 Notebooks. It is quite something!
When you sign up you get to pick your own products to the value of £130. It's very important to choose items that you absolutely love and know you will use. I've been a demonstrator before and I had a good idea of what to choose. It can require a bit of calculating to get as close to the £ 130 as you can because you can't go over it, not even by a penny!
I chose the entire Hues of Happiness Suite, which includes stamps, dies, paper and glossy Dots in matching colours. Then I added to that some Fresh Freesia Ribbon, Gorgeous Grape Ink Pad, Re-Inker and Cardstock, Copper Foil Sheet, Brushed Metallic Dots (I accidentally ordered 2 packs!) and a pack of 5 colours of Baker's Twine. The whole box is just bringing me so much joy and I can't wait to get crafting with it.
If you know who you're going to sign up with you can always ask them to help you with it. Make sure you have their name ready to fill in when you sign up. And remember, anyone over 18 can sign up, you don't have to become an active demonstrator that hosts workshops and sells. There's a minimum quarterly sales requirement you need to meet to stay a demonstrator but if you don't make it you just stop being a demonstrator and you can go back to being a customer again.
So if that feels like something you'd like to do you can sign up here:
